A reading of the essay The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction (1936) by Walter Benjamin. The video was uploaded to youtube.com on a channel titled “Dan Benjamin”, created specifically for this project. The video was then downloaded from youtube.com and reuploaded to youtube.com. Each reupload is referred to as a “pass”. With every pass the video begins to differentiate into something new, something wondering about Benjamin’s idea of aura.
